Our Community Integration Supports help children and young adults build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to participate meaningfully in their communities. Services are individualized to each participant's goals and focus on developing the social, communication, adaptive, and self-advocacy skills that promote greater independence and quality of life.
Sessions take place in natural community environments, providing opportunities to practice and generalize skills learned at home, school, or in therapy. By supporting learning in real-world settings, participants gain confidence navigating everyday experiences while building authentic relationships with peers and community members.
Our neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-based approach is designed to help each participant achieve meaningful personal goals while fostering independence, self-determination, and a strong sense of belonging within their community.
Therapeutic Play LA also operates an inclusive, play-based summer camp in San Diego designed to support children of all abilities in a low-pressure, relationship-centered environment. Our camp emphasizes sensory exploration, imaginative play, emotional regulation, and social connection while honoring each child's developmental profile.
